Fireflex is a co-polymer based multi purpose emulsion designed to be a flexible coating for bonding and protecting insulation, roofing and fire protection materials. Fireflex is also an excellent asbestos encapsulant and can also be used as a coating for Fire Batts.
Fireflex was designed to reduce the need for the insulation contractor or distributor to stock a range of products from the confusing list of competitive materials available.
Features Fire resistant to BS 476 Part 4,6 & 7 Class "0". Elastomeric enabling it to withstand all normal building movements. Low vapour permeability - to protect insulation from moisture. Solar reflective - to prolong the life of the substrate by protecting against UV degradation and to "even out" the effects of high and low temperatures on the underlying materials. Fungal resistant - designed to inhibit fungal growth on the surface being treated although it is not a fungicide treatment. Weatherproof - suitable for internal and external application. Also suitable for weatherproofing asbestos sheeting after using a suitable high penetration primer and asbestos encapsulation. Apply in dry conditions. Versatile application - can be applied by brush or air assisted/airless spray. Can be used with reinforcing mesh or spray applied fibre reinforcement.
